K/D- Music History Research Paper
This is my music history paperthat discusses Renaissance Music as shown through Giovanni Gabreilli and Claudio Monteverdi. It talks about the different techniques and styles of these two composers by comparing two pieces:
Gabrielli's In Ecclesiis
Monteverdi's 1610 Vespers
K- Improvisation/ Jazz Lesson
This is a lesson I taught at Decatur Central High School that demonstrates my ability to teach improvisation and jazz. The pianist did not show up this day, so I jumped on piano for the warm-up when they needed to hear the chords over Afternoon in Paris. This demonstrates my ability to play changes over a tune.
P- Joy Spring Performance
This is the video from my senior recital performing Clifford Brown's "Joy Spring." I do believe that it is important for a music teacher to be a good performer on their main instrument. I have done my best to keep up my trumpet playing so that I can use modeling as an educational device. This is an example of a recent performance of mine to show this.
