Standard 2: Curriculum
Here is of some of my personal ideas and perspectives
on different aspects of music and the field of education.
K- World Music Project
This is a report on the music of Ireland. Contained in the report is a brief history of the country, then an analysis of the music of the culture. After the report is a small curriculum meant to span over a whole unit of a music course.
K/D- Journal Reflections
Contained in this section are various entries that answer questions from why music should be taught in schools to how I would handle a situation with a student with disabilities.
K- Improvisation Unit
This is a unit I developed during my student teaching at Decatur Central. I was given the Jazz Band for four lessons and my plan was to work on their pieces but to also improve the ensembles confidence in jazz improv.
